Talent Spotting
Since its creation, swahili4Kids has had a policy of giving back to the community. Although the participating children love being in the studio recording and singing we want to give back more than that.
Many children grow up having dreams of becoming musicians or performers but never get the chance to explore their hidden talents. Therefore Swahili4kids directs 20% of all profits made through sales to childrens educational programs aimed at developing childrens artistic talents - especially musically.
As yet, this program is in its initial development stages but if you would like to know more about it do not hesistate to contact us.
Testimonials from Little Africa Boarding Home
"My name is Eliupendo. I come from Monduli, but when I study I stay in a boarding called Little Africa. I am 11 years old and I am a Chagga. My father is a choirmaster and my mother is working in the church and sings in the choir. I would like to play piano and guitar like my father, my mother likes singing most. I also like singing with my parents. We like to sing gospel songs together very much. The instrument I like to play most is drums, because when we sing in the boarding we use drums most of the time. I like traditional dance and listening to songs. In my future I’d like to be a nurse or a singer."
"My name is Leah. I come from Malambo in the Northern Maasailand but for now, I live in Little Africa and go to school in Arusha. I like to stay here because we learn so many different things. I am 14 years old and I am a Maasai. My father is a pastor and my mother is a choirmaster. I like music very much because I can sing. Sometimes we have the possibility to use instruments in our boarding. I’ve started learning piano and I know how to play the drums. I also want to know how to play the guitar. I really like listening to music, especially gospel songs. In future I’d like to be a singer like Upendo Nkone because I like her songs very much." |
